Learner of the Month Award at HMP Exeter – Driving Learner Success
Today Mr M was awarded the ‘Learner of the Month’ award here at HMP Exeter, here is a photo of Mr M receiving his certificate and goody bag from Mark Stoyle Curriculum Manager at HMP Exeter and Mr Andy Tanner Deputy Governor.
“Mr M demonstrated a mature and disciplined approach to his learning and has been a great role model to others. Mr M attended punctually and regularly and completed work to a very high standard. Mr M was keen to learn from his mistakes and has also supported other less motivated, less enthusiastic members of the class. When Mr M started he was studying at entry 2 level and has now just completed his F/S level 1 English writing exam” Well done to you.
Glowing feedback from Mr M’s teacher.
The ‘Learner of the Month’ award is a new initiative at HMP Exeter, it is part of a raft of initiatives to encourage participation and achievement in education.
Initiatives like these strengthen our partnership working with our prison colleagues, and their financial support makes this a very sought after award.
